Katherine E. Whalen, M.D.

Famiglietti Eye Associates is pleased to welcome Katherine E. Whalen, M.D. to the practice as of July 1, 2018. Dr. Whalen is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery and the medical management of eye disease. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame and her Doctor of Medicine from Jefferson Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Dr. Whalen completed her internship and ophthalmology residency training at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA, where she also served as Chief Resident of Ophthalmology. Since completing her residency she has served as attending ophthalmologist at Geisinger Eye Institute.
